Hey guys, just wanted to boost a patreon for one of the friends of the Quake community. Mankrip is developing a quake engine right now which looks very promising, things like Saturn Quake style skyboxes, sweet flame effects, 4 player split screen co-op (this one I am especially excited about).
Why don’t you give it a look? I’m sure he would appreciate any support he gets!
We’ve had an excellent year already for Quake 1 releases. I think we’re going to see a bit of an influx of releases for other idtech games soon, the screenshots above are from my tinkerings with a beta version of the exceptional TrenchBroom Editor that supports Quake 2 and also Hexen 2 along with Quake 1 (and plans are there to support other id-tech games too).

Working on a new project, inspired by Doom The Way Id Did, only this will be for quake. Thinking of calling it QUAID (quake as id did). What do you reckon?

Believe it or not I actually made my version from scratch without looking at the original map, I didn’t realise how similar I had made mine.
I might have to make a few more alterations, but the second area is similar but also a lot more different.
